Our History

Since 1932, our name has been good.

Companies don't survive nine decades in Detroit construction by missing dates or walking away from punch lists.

1932

R.E. Leggette Company is founded in Dearborn as the region builds the modern auto industry — and the offices, plants, and schools that grow around it.

1940s–70s

Leggette crews hang ceilings and frame walls through the Arsenal of Democracy, the postwar boom, and the rise of Metro Detroit's commercial corridors.

1980s–2010s

The company deepens its specialty: acoustical ceilings, drywall systems, and Division 10 interiors for offices, healthcare, education, and retail across Southeast Michigan.

Today

Operating as RELCO, the company pairs 94 years of field craft with its own material supply division — trusted with commercial scopes averaging over $1M each.

How We Work

Clean scopes. Accurate numbers. No drama.

01

Bid

Send the drawings and spec sections. Our estimators return a complete, buildable number — with material pricing locked through our own supply division.

02

Build

Union crews execute to the schedule, coordinated with the trades around us. Precision layout up front means no surprises behind the board.

03

Close out

Punch lists cleared, paperwork complete, owner walking a finished space. That's how relationships last 94 years.
